Abu Dhabi – UAE Chapter was established in 2019 to further education

and technical practice, scientific investigation, and research.

It is committed to organizing the efforts of its members in

gathering, correlating, and disseminating information on the design,

construction, manufacture, use, and maintenance and

restoration of concrete and related materials for the benefit of society.

The purpose of the Chapter is to align with and further the objectives for which American Concrete Institute, a Michigan nonprofit corporation (“ACI”), was organized.

  • To further education and technical practice, scientific investigation and research, and development of standards for design and construction incorporating concrete and related materials.

  • To organize the efforts of its members for a nonprofit public service in gathering, correlating, and disseminating information.

  • To address design, construction, manufacture, use, maintenance and restoration of concrete and related materials.

  • To promote and improve technology, technical competence, design, and construction for the benefit of society.
     

The Chapter is accordingly organized and shall be operated exclusively for educational and scientific purposes. In conducting the aforementioned affairs, the Chapter shall pay due attention to all trade regulations and shall not in any manner violate federal, state, or provincial trade regulations.

FELLOWSHIP INFO

Dear Students,

The ACI Foundation announces the fellowship and scholarship program in the MENA region for AY 2022-2023.

This year, the ACI Foundation is offering a specific Graduate Fellowship of $10,000 (USD) and 11 scholarships (each worth USD 5,000) available to undergraduate and graduate students in full-time concrete-related degree programs. Architecture; architectural, civil, or structural engineering; concrete industry or construction management; and materials science are eligible.

Please note that the deadline for students to complete their online applications is November 2, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. EST.
